Jeff Bolton has lived in Melvindale for over 14 years, with both sons (Jacob and Luke) graduates of Melvindale High. Jacob also graduated Grand Valley State University and Luke from UM-Dearborn. Jeff has been married to Maureen for 28 years.

For the past 13 years, he has been involved in Melvindale Athletic Club, sponsors of Little League Baseball as Coach, Umpire, Board Member, and is Player Agent for the club.

He has been on the Melvindale Park and Recreation Commission since 1995, serving as Liaison to City Council since he was elected to office. He encouraged the Commission to take an active role in re-opening the Municipal Pool, which hadn’t been opened due to budget constraints. He was successful in working to get the pool open.

During this term, Jeff was very concerned about the possible loss of Melvindale Days. He formed the Melvindale Days Committee, which took a great deal of his wife Maureen’s time and energy. This committee began to involve a greater number of citizens and volunteers. It was hard work but – it paid off in a renewed Melvindale Days that is no longer a drain on the City Budget!

Jeff is currently employed by Lasco Engineering as a Field Engineer and Parts Manager.

He enjoys playing hockey, tennis, fishing, and watching Baseball and Football games.

Jeff graduated from Detroit Engineering Institute with a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology.
