Public Library

People who live, work or attend school in Melvindale are eligible for a library card.  The Melvindale Public Library is a member of The Library Network (TLN) and honors cards issued by member libraries to their residents.

The library has a broad collection of material on many different topics and interests in a variety of formats: books, DVDs, CD’s and downloadable content such as E-Books and audio books for mobile devices.  Through the Library Network (TLN), the Melvindale Public Library is able to inter-loan books and other media from other libraries in the system. Throughout the year we offer a variety of free programs for all ages such as Story Times, craft programs, Summer Reading Programs and income tax preparation.  Services offered include a Homebound Program, photocopier, fax, scanning and printing services as well as computer and WIFI access.
